The International Polonaise Ball in Miami

01 lutego, 2015

The International Polonaise Ball is organized by the American Institute of Polish Culture, founded by Blanka A. Rosenstiel, under the auspices of the Ambassador of Poland.

This annual event is held in Miami, Florida and serves as a fundraiser for the Institute. Each year the Ball honors Poland, her culture, and her people and pays tribute to Poland's friendship with different nations.

Blanka A. Rosenstiel founded the American Institute of Polish Culture (AIPC) in 1972 as a non-profit, tax-exempt Florida Corporation. The aims of the Institute are twofold; first, to share with American society the rich heritage of Poland, which has contributed in many ways to Western civilization; second, to promote the scientific, educational and artistic endeavors of Polish-Americans.

There is a growing awareness of the value of preserving traditions and identities in the ethnic groups that constitute the American cultural melting pot. For four decades, the Institute has been supporting that notion and has participated in, organized and sponsored hundreds of events locally and nationally.

Our endeavors have received support from state and local governments, the enthusiastic participation of other ethnic groups in the community and the friendly cooperation of the press, all of which have helped to strengthen our leading role in the cultural life of the community.
