Lewandowski scores two as Bayern record their second Victory in the Bundesliga

Bayern continued their winning ways as Lewandowski scored two goals late on to secure the win against Werder Bremen away from home. For most of the match, Werder Bremen contained the offensive prowess of the Bavarian side. However, Werder Bremen couldn’t threaten Bayern’s goal for most of the match, as the centerback pairing of Mats Hummels and Niklas Sule continue to impress.
However, the substitution of Kingsley Coman in the second half of the game proved vital for Bayern’s victory. His arrival on the right-hand side allowed him to cut and utilize his pace to get into crossing positions for Robert Lewandowski and co. Eventually this happened, as Coman lost his marker and was given free rein to find the pass for Lewandowski, who backheeled the ball inside the net on the six-yard box.
Lewandowski doubled his tally as he finished late – on, nutmegging move the defender and the keeper. This was more than enough to secure the winner and to continue Bayern’s impressive early start to the season. This bodes well for the Polish national team as they continue their quest to secure top spot in their group for the World Cup in Russia next year.
