Krzysztof Kieslowski at Lincoln Center in NY

In "Dekalog", imasterwork of modern cinema, initially aired as a series on Polish television, influential filmmaker Krzysztof Kieślowski brings his Solidarity-era characters face to face with the Bible’s Ten Commandments. The complete cycle of 10 self-contained, hour-long “episodes” will be shown in 35mm over the course of a weekend, making it possible to plunge headfirst into Kieślowski’s enigmatic and poignantly human world.

Screenings on October 24 at 7:30, October 25 at 7:00, and October 26 at 4:30 will be followed by a White Light Lounge

The October 24 screening will be introduced by Annette Insdorf, Columbia University Film Professor and author of Double Lives, Second Chances: The Cinema of Krzysztof Kieslowski
